Catherine “Potot” Fernandez, 88, of Koloa passed away at home on June 30, 2018. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on November 6, 1929 and was previously employed as a cook with Poipu Inn.
Preceded in death by her husband, Cereal Fernandez; parents, Angelo Bacarro, Okimi Fujii, step-father, Alberto Daguay; brothers, James Bacarro Sr., Alfred Bacarro; grandson, Aaron Michioka; daughter-in-law, Dolores Fernandez.
Catherine is survived by sons, Edward “Eddie Boy” (Sheila) Fernandez of Mililani, Bernal Fernandez of Lawai; daughters, Sherleen “Tita” Fernandez of Koloa, Suzette “Baba” (Greg) Kenney of Kekaha, Zaneeta (Bill) Quinn of Mililani; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Bonilla of Puhi; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at St. Raphael Church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
