Clesson En How Ching, 91, of Wailua Homesteads passed away at home on September 26, 2018. Born in Waimea, Kauai on September 26, 1927, he was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War the United States Army and retired as a janitorial supervisor with Kauai Surf Hotel.
Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Eva Ching; son, Darrell Keith Ching; brothers, Harold Ching, Lester Ching and Wilford Ching.
Clesson is survived by his wife, Grace Rapozo Ching of Wailua Homesteads; sons, David (Amy) Ching of California, Derrick Ching of Wailua Homesteads; daughters, Colette (James) Kawamura, Melinda (Robert) Hammond and Debbie (John) Sotelo all of Wailua Homesteads; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Harmony (Edna) Ching of Kalaheo; sister, Opal Healani (Chuck) Trembath of Lihue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 27th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kapaa 1st Ward with viewing from 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
