Doreen Higashi Obituary
Doreen Leimomi Michiko Higashi, 53, of Kapaa passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on July 6, 2018. She was born in Waimea, Kauai on June 29, 1965.
Preceded in death by her ex-husband, Bernard J. Rita Sr., mother, Bryd Higashi; father, Robert Higashi Sr. and son, Bernard J. Rita Jr.
Doreen is survived by her daughters, Natasha Rita, Malia (Russell) Soares, Rita, April Rita, Shirlee Ozaki; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Higashi and Tammy (Mativa) Tupe; brothers, Dwayne (Tammy) Higashi and Robert Higashi Jr., numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Kekaha Boat Harbor with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Military Honors for Mr. Robert Higashi Sr. will be held at 11:50 a.m. A luncheon and scattering of their cremains to follow.
