Lester Sin Fook Ching, 88, of Huleia, Kauai passed away at home on May 14, 2018. He was born in Waimea, Kauai on August 25, 1929 and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was the proprietor of Pacific Janitorial Service and Dai-ichi Building Maintenance.
Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Eva Ching; brothers, Harold Ching and Wilfred Ching; granddaughter, Tiara Danielson.
Lester is survived by his wife, Tomiko Ching; four children, Vernon T. (Roberta) Ching of Kunia, Oahu, Eleena K. (Steve) Danielson of Rexburg, Idaho, Holly “Midori” (Scott) Sandiego of Chandler, Arizona, Irvin (Vanessa) Ching of Huleia, Kauai; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters; brothers, Clesson (Grace) Ching of Kapaa, Harmony (Edna) Ching of Kalaheo; sister, Opal Healani (Chuck) Trembath of Lihue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at The Church of Jeasus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lihue Ward, 4580 Ehiku St. with viewing from 9:00 am and services celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
