Takeshi “Take” Yamamoto, 91, of Kapaa passed away peacefully and entered the Pure Land on December 16, 2019. He was born in Wahiawa, Oahu on May 20, 1928.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He lived a full life as a farmer, fisherman and business man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Yoshimatsu and Tsuru Yamamoto, brothers, Toshio, Larry, and Mitsuo Yamamoto.
Takeshi is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Yamamoto; children, Brian (Wendy) Yamamoto, Diane (Mark) Kobayashi, Gary (Else) Yamamoto and Harry (Patricia) Yamamoto; grandchildren, Shari, Andrew, Alison, Brandi, Nicholas and Anela Yamamoto; brother, Ramon (Akiko) Yamamoto; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Takeshi’s life will be held on Saturday January 25th, 2019 at Kapaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM with service to begin at 10:00 AM.
Family request casual attire and no flowers.
