Yasu Nakamatsu Obituary
Yasu Nakamatsu, 96, of Wailua Houselots passed away at Garden Isle Healthcare on April 6, 2018. He was born in Koloa on October 2, 1921. A Veteran of the United States Army 442 Infantry Regiment, “K’ Company, he also was the proprietor of Kuhio Fish Market in Kapaa.
Preceded in death by his wife, Sue Shizue Nakamatsu; son, Claron Nakamatsu; grandson, Liloa Nakamatsu; sister, Yae Nakamatsu-Gushiken; brothers, Mike (Yachiyo) Nakamatsu, Yasuo (Gladys) Nakamatsu.
Yasu is survived by daughter, Sheilah Miyake; son, Baron Nakamatsu; granddaughter, Michele Miyake; grandson, Kahai Nakamatsu; daughter-in-law, Terri Nakamatsu; numerous nieces and nephews.
