Allen Ihara Obituary
Allen Kunio Ihara, 87, of Lihue passed away at his nieces’ home on September 28, 2022. He was born on Kauai on May 20, 1935, a Veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the County of Kauai as a truck driver.
Preceded in death by his parents, Muneo and Hatsuko Ihara; siblings, Kimie Sommerfeld, Ayako Neifert, Akie Moribe, Tomoe Anderson and Richard Ihara.
Allen is survived by his brother, Wayne (Mitzi) Ihara; sister, Patricia (Allen) Ticala; caregivers, Randal, Debbie, Marisa, Dreana and Randon Valenciano; nephews, Peter Neifert, David Neifert and Myles Moribe; nieces, Trudy Peltier, Susan Bissonnette, Polly Sommerfeld-Daigle, Debbie Valenciano, Shari Keliiaa and Jennifer Ihara-Takase; sister-in-law, Patsy Ihara; numerous cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Private services will be held by family.
