Anastacia Narito Villanueva, of Kapa‘a, passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born in Lahaina, Maui, on December 21, 1931. Affectionately known as “Ann,“ she resided on O‘ahu for nearly 50 years. She retired from nursing and moved to Kaua‘i in 1997. Preceded in death by her parents, Mariano Narito and Leoncia Julian Narito; and her husband Feladis “Val” Villanueva.
Ann is survived by her 8 children, Stephen Villanueva, Susan (Randy) Oshita, Matthew Villanueva, Valerie (Matthew) Murphy, Christine (John) Wilcox, Lisa (Arthur Betos) Villanueva, Roman Villanueva, Stacey (Brian) Sweeney; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ann was a devout member of St. Catherine parish, Kapa‘a.
Her favorite pastime in recent years was playing mahjong on her iPad.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at St. Catherine Church, Kapa‘a beginning with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and the funeral liturgy celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery, Hanapēpē
