Andrew "Andy" Alesna Obituary
Andrew “Andy” Alesna, of Kapaa, passed away on December 13, 2025 at the age of 69. He was born in Lihue on March 8, 1956 and worked for the Lihue Plantation for 26 years then at Kapaa Elementary and High Schools.
He was preceded in passing by his parents Alejandro & Elizabeth Alesna, sons Tyler Alesna and Aaron Alesna.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Laureen Alesna, daughters Andrea (Wes) Kaneakua, Chelsie (Butter) Defries, grandchildren Raylene Rivera-Alesna, Rylan-Tyler Rivera-Alesna, Kaliah Ann Kaneakua, Cheyla Defries, Cheyanne Defries, Cheynee Lei Defries, sister Charlene Alesna, brothers Alric (Kuuipo) Alesna, Alfred (Bree) Alesna, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapaa. Viewing will begin at 10am, mass at 11am with lunch to follow.
