Anthony “Tony” Paul Prem Sr., who was a passionate Harley Davidson rider passed away peacefully at his residence in Wailua on March 12, 2025 at the age of 78.
Born on March 30, 1946 in Kauai, Hawaii, Tony lived his life with passion, loyalty and a fierce commitment to his family – both blood and by choice. Tony worked as a Contractor and Roofer his entire life up until he retired. He has always found his freedom and joy in riding his Harley Davidson. As a dedicated member of the Alii’s of Hawaii, he was known for his loyalty, generosity and love of the open road. His heart was as big as the road he traveled, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
When he wasn’t on the road, Tony found peace in working around the house, tinkering with his bike and other small machinery, and finally, going down to Big Wave Dave’s and enjoying a few drinks with family and friends.
Tony is survived by his wife Elizabeth Keala Prem; brothers, James “Sparky” Prem (Mona), Robert Soares Jr. (Luana) and “brother in crime” Duane Dick (Dee); sisters, Shirley Prem, Betty-Lou Sanchez and Diane Ebinger (Keith); sons, Anthony Prem Jr. (Shanny), Brian Prem (Jeanette), James Rodriguez, Kawika Guthmann (Tania), Jace Prem; daughters, Marilyn Prem (Tina), Antoinette Gonsalves (Dayne), Ginger Abbott (Malik), Tasha Troche (Devin) and Cassandra Prem (Levi); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as other family, and a vast community of friends an fellow riders who became his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron James Prem and grandson, Dalton Lee Kekoa Prem.
There will be a celebration of life for Tony on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12 noon until pau at Lydgate Beach Big Pavillion in Kapaa.
