Benjamin Tabian Obituary

Benjamin Matthew “Matt” Tabian, 57, of Anahola passed away on May 18, 2026 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 14, 1969, son of Wilfred and Juanita Tabian. He was previously employed at Garden Isle Rehab and Nursing.

Benjamin is survived by his 1st wife Kara Hawkins and daughter, Samantha Keani and her children, Ayden and Sofie-lynn;  his 2nd wife Hope Chong-Tim and their children, Kiaura (Kalalea) Abell, Pohai and Pono; 3 sisters, Melissa (Dougles) Nobriga, Lokelani (Lloyd) Pila and Pualani (Henry) Moefu, uncle John Garo & family, aunty Gracey Criner & family, blessed with numerous nieces, nephews cousins and a large circle of friends.

Services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Lihue United Church 4340 Nawiliwili Rd. Lihue, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. and with services to follow at 10:00 am. Refreshments to follow at Parish Hall next to church. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at Kauai Memorial Gardens 4716 Maalo Rd. Lihue.
