Bernice Hiranaka Obituary
Bernice Claire Hiranaka of Lihue passed away peacefully on August 31, 2022 at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born on April 11, 1932 in Lihue and retired from Kauai Surf as a cocktail server.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mamoru Hiranaka, daughter Marla Hiranaka, parents Daniel & Rosalina Rapozo, and sisters, Elizabeth Oyamot and Clara Nuivo.
She is survived by sons, Leslie (Lynn) Hiranaka and Russell (Cathy) Hiranaka, 4 grandchildren, Bradley (Allison) Hiranaka, Sean (Kalia) Hiranaka, Brice Hiranaka and Michelle Isagawa; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Rapozo; sisters, Florence Oyamoto; Gwen Zaima, Priscilla (Bob) Rego, Bernadette Hodges and Beverly Rapozo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
