Bonnie Matsumura Obituary
Bonnie Matsumura, of Kapaa, passed away on October 15, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born in the US Panama Canal Zone on June 15, 1941 and worked as a Spanish teacher at Kapaa and Waimea High Schools.
She was preceded in passing by her brother Roger Boone Michael of San Diego.
Bonnie is survived by her children Michael T. (Regina) Matsumura of Lihue, Christy Matsumura of North Carolina, Shane (Sheri) Matsumura of Kapaa, Dawn (Paul) Patterson of Kea’au, grandchildren Taryn (Zac) Rodriguez, Isaiah Matsumura, Chayce Matsumura, Asianna Nelson, Leila Nelson, Josiah Nelson, Makeio Matsumura, Teigen Matsumura, great-grandchildren Kiara Rodriguez, Kendra Rodriguez, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Private services will be held by the family. Bonnie was a devoted Christian and member of the Kapaa Missionary Church.
