Bruce Gerrit Macey

Bruce Gerrit Macey of Anahola, passed away on May 5, 2023, in Lihue, HI from heart failure. Born July 25, 1967, he was 56.

Gerrit was living his dream working at the beautiful Westin in Princeville. He passed doing exactly what he loved, serving his community. Gerrit was all about premiere service to all guests and fellow employees, no matter where he worked. He was raised in San Clemente, CA, graduated both from San Clemente High and Cal Poly Pomona with degrees in Hotel Restaurant Management and business. He had multiple management opportunities over the years, including the Roy’s Restaurants here on Kauai, Phoenix, AZ and Newport Beach, CA, ending his career at the beautiful Westin, Princeville which was the pinnacle of his career. Members of his Westin team were his Kauai family and lovingly referred to him as "Mr. Aloha" and "Boss" with great affection. He was a Christian nearly all his life, loved serving the Lord and was even learning Hawaiian.

Mr. Macey is predeceased by his parents Bruce H Macey & Carolyn B Macey, brother Steve Condon, Uncle & Aunt Warren and Marilyn Ball and Cousin Kyle Ball. He is survived by loving sisters Christian Macey and Lindsey Cooper with husband Ritchie Cooper, and nieces and nephews Nichole and Shelby Taylor, Forrest, Jennifer, Kennedy, & Peyton Crowell, Brittany, Brent, & Brayden Russell, Brianna Carlson, Nalu & Calleigh Paulisin, Erin & Mark Arroyo, cousins Kyrna Ball & Erik Ball & best friend Mikey McStay.

A private memorial service will be held in his honor.
