Cindy Johnson Obituary

Cindy Lee Johnson, 64, of Lihue, Hawai‘i, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025. Born on August 8, 1960, in Ohio, Cindy lived a life full of love, warmth, and care—a legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of many.

For over 20 years, Cindy was a beloved figure in the community through her dedicated childcare services, nurturing generations of keiki with kindness, patience, and joy. She was also affectionately known as the “Spice Lady” for her work with the Tradewind Spice Company of Kaua‘i, where her passion for flavor and aloha spirit made her a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

She was a beloved Aunty to Sophia Woods-Henry, who she loved dearly. A cousin to many who she cherished her days of travel with. In her final months she received loving care from family friends: Kathryn Largent, Patti Bates and Kathleen Robb.

Cindy was preceded in passing by her mother, Donna Snapp. She is survived by her loving children, Kristle Henry and Camren Henry; her brother, Ron Johnson; and her cherished granddaughter, who brought endless pride and joy to her life.

Cindy’s memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering generosity. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
