Claridad “Inos” Madrid Tangonan, 94, of Lihue passed away on December 29, 2023. She was born in Lihue, HI on June 25, 1929 and worked as a Papaya Packer at Best Fruit Cannery.
She is preceded in passing by her loving husband of 75 years, Florencio Tangonan; son, Macario Tangonan; parents, Ignacio and Juliana Madrid; siblings, Venancio Madri, Esabella Ramelb, Rosalina Fernandez, and Napoleon Madrid.
Claridad “Inos” is survived by her children, Rizal Tangonan, Consolacion Antonio, Noralyn (Nestor) Arizabal; Grandchildren, Agnes (Jose) Bermudez, Alvin Antonio, Lhaylalyn Tangonan, Rotsen Arizabal, Cheryl Arizabal; and great grandchildren, Lorenalyn and Jhayden Maldonado.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday, January 25, 2024 with visitation from 8:00 am to 9:45 am, a funeral mass at 10:00am, and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
