David Kahaunaele Sr. Obituary

David Kalaunuiohua Kahanu Kahaunaele Sr. 84, of Anahola passed away at home on August 30, 2019. He was born on Oahu, Hawaii on September 20, 1934, a veteran of the United State Coast Guard and retired from Kauai Community Correctional Center as an Adult Corrections Officer.

Preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Lynette Kanani Panui Kahaunaele; daughter, Cynthia Kahaunaele parents, Joseph & Elizabeth Kahaunaele; siblings, Kelly Harbottle, Dora Swain, Joseph Kahaunaele, Larry Kahaunaele and Alapai Sperry.

David is survived by his children, Ipo (Mike) Kahaunaele-Ferriera, David (Teri) K. K. Kahaunaele Jr., Paulette K. Kahaunaele-Ferreira, Lyman K. Kahaunaele, Margaret (Leone) H. Lea’e, Raymond (Maile) K. Kahaunaele; sister, Henrietta Kailimai; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Anahola Beach Park beginning at 9:00 a.m.
