Edie “Eddison” Sallotan Bucao, 59, of Hanamaulu passed peacefully from this life on March 29, 2021. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during his last moments of breath. Edie was born on January 10, 1962 in Davila Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, but has been living on Kauai since 1991 with his loving wife, son and daughter. He worked as a housekeeper at Hyatt Regency Kauai and as a food stocker at Safeway.
Edie was also a loving husband and father. He married his best friend, Lilia, on May 18, 1987. He raised two beautiful children with humility, discipline, and patience.
There were hobbies Edie enjoyed. He raised chicken for most of his life and later on in life he would enjoy fishing during the day or night. Moreover, he was the best organizer and kept the house cleaned to the best of his ability.
Edie was kind and a good man. He was very giving and helpful to others that needed a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mariano and Violeta Bucao.
Edie is survived by his wife, Lilia Bucao; his children, Jason and Jenny Lynn Bucao; sisters, Nori (Nestor) Laciste, Precy (James) Bucao, Dally (Hermogenes Jr) Lapurga, Lerma (Reynante) Moravek, and Lorina (Florentino) Valencia; brothers, Edmar (Marlyn) Bucao and Efren (Glenda) Bucao.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021. 10:00 a.m. Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, with a viewing at 11:00 a.m. to be held at Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, followed by burial at 1:30 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
