Florencio Tangonan, 100, of Hanamaulu passed away on April 24, 2021 at home. He was born in 23 Paninaan, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on November 7, 1920 and retired from Lihue Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his son, Macario Tangonan; brothers, Juan and Samuel Tangonan; sisters, Valentina Visitacion, Anesita Rivera, Visitacion Dalire, Bernarda Galapon and son-in-law, Sinforoso Antonio.
Florencio is survived by his wife, Claridad Tangonan; son, Rizal Tangonan; daughters, Consolacion Antonio and Noralyn (Nestor) Arizabal; grandchildren, Agnes (Jose) Bermudez of Chicago, Alvin Antonio of Oahu, Lhaylalyn Tangonan of San Diego, Rotsen Arizabal of Oahu, Cheryl Arizabal of Oahu and great-grandchildren, Lorenalyn and Jhayden Maldonado of San Diego.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 29th, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church. Doors open at 9:30 AM with mass to follow at 10:00 AM. After mass has concluded a viewing will begin at 11:00 AM at Kauai Memorial Gardens with burial to follow at 1:30 PM.
