Florentino Duterte Obituary
Florentino “Tono” Duterte of Hanamaulu passed away on January 27, 2021 at the age of 84. He was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai on March 14, 1936. A veteran of the United States Navy he retired with County of Kauai as a heavy equipment operator.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Barino Duterte; parents, Marcos and Monica Duterte; sisters, Cornelia “Connie” Alfeche, Apolinaria “Annie” Castillo; brothers, Pedro “Pete” Duterte Sr. and Lorito Duterte.
Florentino is survived by sons, Marcus A. Duterte and Mason Espanto, both of oahu and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held at Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe.
