Obituary
Fusako Y. Harada, 102, passed away on July 15, 2023, in Lihue. She was born in Kapaa on March 9, 1921, and retired from Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in passing by her husband Katsuto Harada, daughter Patricia (Anselmo) Samson, parents Eitaro and Nejiu Yanagida, siblings Hiroshi Yanagida, Fumiko Lamar, Tamiko Saiki, Tetsuo “Blackie” Yanagida, Midori Tanaka, Toshie Pollett, James Yanagida, Shigeru Yanagida, and in-laws Sadataro and Toki Harada.
Fusako is survived by her children Harlan (Pamela, dec.) Harada, Katherine Campos (Rudy, dec.), Susan (Dennis) Apilado, grandchildren Debra Yoshimoto, Coleen Rilling, Sheree Miller, Lauren Harada, Christopher Samson, Patrick Samson, Rudy Campos Jr., Brandon Campos, Erin Campos, Todd Apilado, and Derek Apilado; 21 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
