George Morishita passed on February 18, 2024 at 92. His many experiences included being incarcerated in the Manzanar War Relocation camp, seeing a live performance of Billy Holiday and receiving her smile, working as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, volunteering at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, seeing the Dalai Lama, tai chi and nordic walking in Kealia. He was a fighter for the underprivileged and had a smile like a sunbeam. He is preceded in passing by his wife Setsuko and survived by his son Corey and his daughter Maya.
