Henry Toshio Hamada

Henry Toshio Hamada, 93, passed away in Kapaa on August 21, 2023. He was born on October 16, 1929 in Wailua and worked as a groundskeeper at Coco Palms and custodian at Kapaa Elementary School.

He was preceded in passing by his parents Kanichi and Chieno Hamada, brothers George, James, Wallace, Albert, Samuel, sisters Ruth and Nellie, and granddaughter Shelby Hamada.

Henry is survived by his wife Marian C. Hamada, sons Kelvin (Dawn) Hamada of Honolulu, Rex (Suzie) Hamada of Mililani, daughters Susan (Lance) Kubota of Kapaa, Stella (Jeff) Daniels of Seattle, grandchildren Devin (Marci) Hamada, Courtney (Devin) Hamada, Nicole Kubota, Shantelle (Adam) Morris, Heather Kubota, Jarrett (Trish) Hamada, Kira Daniels, Jana (Jesse) Colandrea, Jordan (Jessica) Chun, Jared (Brandi) Chun, Joslyn (Casey) Hamada, great-grandchildren Evan Morris, Remy Morris, Connor Morris, Micah Morris, Raiden Hamada, Mitzi Kubota, Sadame Kubota, Ethan Chun, Malachi Chun, Chloe Colandrea, Emma Colandrea, Liam Mira, Tailea Chun, Tahia Chun, Kole Hamada, Dax Hamada, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives of the family are welcomed to celebrate Henry's life at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 9am.
