Henry “Chiko” Kalani Tai Hook, 56, of Kalihiwai, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at home. Born in Lihue, Kauai on November 03, 1969, was self-employed as a landscaper and taro farmer.
Survived by parents, Wilbert “Afuk” Tai Hook and Lily Lila (Harada) Tai Hook; sisters, Lillian (Robert “Bobby”) Watari, Zan Maile (Alan “King”) Kimura, Lilith Nani (Lennox) Camat; brother, Wilbert “Puka” Tai Hook; hanai brother, Lenley Doiron, hanai sisters, Karen “Lehua” Doiron, Thamie “Honey” Ponimoi, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Waipa Foundation in Hanalei. Visitation starting at 10:00am, services at 11:00am.
