Hipolito Princena Obituary
Hipolito “Polit” Besa Princena Sr., of Lihue, passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 103. He was born in the Philippines on January 29, 1922 and worked as an irrigation manager.
He was preceded in passing by his parents Donato and Emeliana Princena, brother Tomas Princena, son Arden Princena, and grandson Joseph Princena.
Hipolito is survived by his wife Lourdes Princena, sons Hipolito (Cathy) Princena Jr., Tedlee Ellamar, Jose Cuaresma, daughters Priscilla (Phillip) Polhe, Marie (Juan) Padilla, Francesca Rivera, Ligaya (Bernilo) Ramos, Nenita (Agustin) Piso, Cristina Poller, Mary Lagrimas Cuaresma, Nemieda (John) Spence, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-children.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 31, 2026 at King’s Chapel in Lihue, visitation at 9am, mass at 10am. King’s Chapel is located at the old Kukui Grove Cinema Movie Theater in Lihue.
