John Kroll, age 86, of Kapa’a, HI, (formerly Monona, WI) passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1938 to Jack and Genevieve Kroll. He married Garnette “Sam” Anderson on February 17,1969.
He is survived by his wife, Sam and son John “Jack” (Theresa); brother Richard “Dick” (Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Genevieve; his brother Patrick and sisters Sally, Mary and Kathryn.
John was a devoted husband and father and known widely for his kind spirit. He enjoyed sailing, skiing and the company of good dogs. He worked for the state of Wisconsin for over 30 years and retired as an administrative officer with the Wisconsin Technical College System Board in 2000. His responsibilities included working with state legislators, and with his staff, was responsible for the State Plan for Technical Education.

Graveside service and burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 2705 Regent St., Madison, WI 53705 at 11:30 AM. Meet at the entrance to be guided to the plot.
