Joseph “Joey” Kaleikini Pia-Hoomanawanui Jr. 45, of Anahola passed away on September 11, 2023 in Anahola. He was born on Kauai on August 16, 1978 and he was a soljah known as Mr. Aloha embracing you with his local style warmth of hospitality.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Sherry Pia, brother Christen “Chris” Angell; great-grandparents, Wayne and Frances Sanden; Tutu man, John “Kuku” Pia Sr., and Tutu lady Miriam “Aunty Girly” Pia.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Kahala Pia-Hoomanawanui; son, Makai; daughters, Maya-Kai’ulani (Terren), Manawale’a, Maikela, Mehana-Lei; sisters, Teresa Leina’ala (Terence) Pia, Rayna Pia, Frances “Frankie” (Venancio) Hernandez-Martinez; 1 grandson, Keolamauloa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Cummings farm in Anahola.
