It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Karen Marie Kapua on May 31, 2023. Mom was surrounded by family and friends when she passed.
Mom’s love, beauty, wisdom, devotion, strength, kindness, and laughter made her a blessing and a genuine soul. She built the foundation of our family and is the reason our house is a home. Mom offered the best advice and always found the positive in any situation. Always willing to go out of her way for her community and help someone in need, she gained the love, respect, and praise from the kind of people that matter. Mom will forever be a remarkable Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and true Friend. She will be missed everyday, but we know Mom lives on the outskirts of heaven now, riding horses with Nahele, smiling, singing, laughing, and watching over us all. We love you Ma.
Me ‘oe ke aloha mau (Our Love is with You Forever), Dad (Irvil), Pohaku, Nalu, Makani, and Baby Nalu.
The Kapua Ohana would like to extend our thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and everyone involved in Mom’s journey, for their kind support. Ke Akua Pu ¯ (May God Bless You).
