Karen Ellen Mahelona, 73, of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue on December 28, 2022. She was born in Portland, Maine on September 6, 1949.
She is preceded in passing by her parents Norman and Natalie Baizley and her brother Norman Baizley.
Karen is survived by her husband, Charles K. Mahelona; her children Kalelani (Wesley) Ogata and Louis (Tiffany) Mahelona III; grandchildren, Pomaika'i Ogata, Kamaluonalani Ogata, Kinohi Na’ihe, Ka’ua Noe Na’ihe, Louis Puuonioni Mahelona IV, Kalena Mahelona, Charles Kekahuna Mahelona II.
and her three sisters, Barbara Foley, Peggy (Frank) Libby, and Pat Harildstad.
