Karen Pongasi Obituary

Karen Puanani Pongasi passed away on December 31,2025 at the age of 80. She was born in Lihue on February 10,1945.

She was proceeded in passing by her parents Alfred Sr. & Christiana Nobriga, and sister Georgiana Abella.

Karen is survived by her husband of 54 years Johnny Z. Pongasi, children Kristle(Phil) Bishard, Keith(Kimi) Pongasi, Kevin(Nicole) Pongasi, Johnna Pongasi. Step-children John, Melanie & Donovan Pongasi, Hanai daughter Kristine Hasegawa. Brothers Alfred Nobriga Jr. and Gregory(Gail) Nobriga.
11 grand children, 10 great grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews & many friends.

Celebration of life will be on March 1, 2026 at the Veteran Center at 3pm.
