Katherine Matsushima Obituary
Katherine K. Matsushima, 77, of Anahola passed away on February 10, 2023. She was born in Lihue on June 6, 1945.
She is preceded in passing by her husband Clifford Matsushima Sr.; her parents August Sr. and Katherine Kane; her brother August Jr. and her granddaughters Mistie and Teeana Valpoon.
Katherine is survived by her children, Dexter “Kaleo” Matsushima, Leah “Teete” (Russell) Matsushima, Cassie (Aaron) Camara, Deede (Peter) Contrades, Clifford Jr. “Kaina” (Glenda) Matsushima; siblings, April Reis, Lowell (Joann) Kane, Elizabeth “Keala” (Tony) Prem; grandchildren, Cody Valpoon, Aarika-lei (Kameron) and Austin Camara, Chelsey Contrades, Kaison and Kaeleigh Matsushima; great-grandchildren, Aleiah Agtarap, Ileana, Laakea, and Kamaehu Contrades-Oshiro, Lihau, Lawai`a, Lokahi, and Kaikoa Valpoon, and Liloa Ragsac.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Ko’olau Hui’ia Protestant Church in Anahola. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:30am with services to follow.
