Lawrence “Larry Boy" Kuanani Asai, 59, of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 2, 2025. He was born in Lihue on August 21, 1966 and worked as a Mason with Pacific Concrete Works.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sukeichi and Aeno Asai; Maternal grandparents, Herbert and Elizabeth Kaneholani; father, Lawrence Mitsuo Asai Sr., nephew, Clayton Ikaika Kangiser.
Larry Boy is survived by his wife, Caroline Asai; 2 sons, Kyle Asai-Lau, Matthew Packard-Asai; daughter, Kellie (Joel) Alvarez; mother, Mervelee “Midge” Asai; brothers, Lionel (Janet) Asai, Llewellyn “Keone” (Christel) Asai, Lyle Asai; sister, Laurel “Naomi” Asai; 4 grandchildren, Cherish Silva Barretto, Kaeo Asai, Natalia Alvarez, Kaleo Alvarez; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Anahola Beach Park beginning at 10:00 a.m.
