Marcelina “Marcie” Tabalno Bumacod, 84, of Lihue passed away at home on November 20, 2020. She was born on November 2, 1936 in Alaminas, Pangasinan, Philippines and retired from McBryde Sugar Company as a field worker.
Marcelina was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Bumacod Sr.; parents, Segundo & Januaria Tabalno; daughter, Rosita Dela Cruz; siblings, Roman Tabalno, Ana Pascua, Henry Tabalno and Donnie Arellano.
Marcelina is survived by her seven children, Rebecca Garcia of California, Stella (Art) Fujita of Lihue, Rita Barriga of Lihue, Marilyn Barriga of California, Nelie Ann Boback of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Ramon Bumacod Jr. of California, Alan Ray Bumacod of Nevada; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-granddaughter; brother, Ismael (Sviatlana) Tabalno, Vincent (Ping Lang) Tabalno sister, Maria Baltazar; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Kauai Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with viewing from 8:00 to 9: 30 a.m. A Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Due to Covid-19 please wear a mask and social distancing is required.
