Matthew Furutani Obituary
Matthew Tomio Furutani, 71 of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Hospital on January 29, 2025. He was born in Lihue, HI on September 30, 1953 and retired from Kapaa Poi Factory.
Preceded in death by his parents, Haruo & Yukiko Furutani.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria (Carl) Tavorn; brothers Dennis (Sandy) Furutani, Robert Furutani, Arnold Furutani, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Kapaa Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with services beginning at 3:00 p.m. There will be a ZOOM meeting for people who are unable to attend. ZOOM ID:98783600363 Password:Ps8318.
