Nathan Eli Keikiohua Batalona

Nathan Eli Keikiohua Batalona of Lihue passed away on April 11, 2026 at Straub Benioff Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu on July 13, 1964 and was raised as a child with his two siblings in Hulei’a Valley Kauai by his maternal grandparents Robert and Mary Keuma.

Nathan worked at Westin Kauai at Kalapaki Beach, driving the lunch wagon up to the golf course feeding the employees. After Hurricane Iniki he lost his job and alter found a job at Rent A Center as a delivery/account manager.

He is preceded in passing by his father, Ignacio Batalona Jr.; sister, Nadine Iwalani Long; and his grandparents who raised him, Robert & Mary Keuma.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Nanette Keuma Wall; sister, Michelle Namele Batalona; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Leaving behind his beloved baby (Maggie) and popoki Samson & Delilah.

His favorite spot on Kauai was Kalapaki beach watching the surf and waves talking story sitting in his beloved Toyota Tacoma Truck.

In Nathan’s final days he dedicated his life back to Jesus, he knew his days were few and even though he fought hard to live here in the physical, God called him home. In his last days, he would be singing in the room songs he sang as a child in church. Now Bruddah Nate has life everlasting with the King of kings and Lord of lords! Jesus, our King forever!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Aloha Church in Lihue (4534 Uahi Rd) on July 11, 2026 with 9:00am visitation followed by 10:00am services. For a dress code we would like to let people know that Nathan’s favorite color was orange.
