Opeti Ikimaka Obituary
Opeti “Siaosi Leiataua” Ikimaka of Lihue passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 68. He was born on March 2, 1956 in Tonga and was a Pastor for the Church of Tonga.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ikimaka & Mele Makaafi; brother, Lisiate Uaisele and sisters, Velonika Pifeleti, Mahina Lavemai and Alisi Petelo.
Opeti is survived by his loving wife, Melesungu Ikimaka; sons, Paionia Tanginoa, Akauola Tea Ikimaka, Paea Ikimaka and Larry Ikimaka; daughters, Sosina Ikimaka, Naomi Ikimaka Lepa and Lina Ikimaka; brothers, Alifeleti Akau`ola and Tau`akipulu Ikimaka; sisters, Elisa Foliaki and Loumaile`I Nafualu Tu`ionetoa and grandchildren, Naki, Akauola, Benjamin Diessa, Naoleen & Jaazaniah Tatofi; Sosina, Siaosi, Tahina & Jasmine Tea; Melesungu & Moli Pahulu; Amaziah Siale & Paea Ikimaka; LinaTangi, Picetin, Leslie, Jeraea & Mele Ikimaka; Naomi, Larry, Elijah, Chenoa & Leah Ikimaka; Tino, Amalani, Anemalia, Lisimoni, Anitelu, Toa, Losaline and Nete Tanginoa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Prayer service will be held on January 23rd at 7 pm at the United Methodist Hall in Lihue. An overnight Celebration of Life will begin on Friday January 24, 2025 and continue into Saturday January 25, 2025 at the United Methodist Hall in Lihue. Visitation will begin at 7 PM on January 24th. Funeral services will begin on January 25th at 9 am and burial will follow at 1pm at the Keapana-Kealia Cemetery.
