Obituary Notice
Panfilo “Pany” Cabinatan, 86, of Omao passed away on January 9, 2026. He was born in Lihue on September 7, 1939 and was a truck driver with Kauai Freight, Aloha Lumber and Lihue Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Tabura Cabinatan; father Narciso Cabinatan, mother Saturnina Ababon Cabinatan; brother, Leonardo Cabinatan; sisters, Gloria Coleman and Florence Feguis.
Pany is survived by his son, Leonard (Jesse) Cabinatan of Hanamaulu, daughters, Mona Lisa Gonda and Lisa Marie (Damon) Summers of Kapaa; 14 grandchildren, Ezekiel Gonda, Ryan Gonda, Bryan Gonda, Michael Gonda, Chyson Chow-Cabinatan, Alyssa Chow-Cabinatan, Wesric Kaneakua Jr., Taryn Summers, Bailey Summers, Landan Summers, Lenele Rodorigues-Cabinatan, Lance Kekoa Cabinatan, Madisyn Cabinatan, Kailena Cabinatan; 18 great-grandchildren, Keilyn, Ayden, Aria, Kimana, Giselle, Shiori, Taedyn, Kaykai, Kahiau, Kehlani-Rose, Kainani-Lily, Kain, Mena, Zoey, Luke, Annabell, Lucille, Ezekiel; brother, Clifford Cabinatan of Hanamaulu; sister, Viviane Luczon of Wailua; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A scattering of his ashes will be held on March 1, 2026 at 11:30 am at Fuji Beach in Kapaa. Lunch to follow at 1310 Inia St., Kapaa (behind Pono Marker, next door to Pono Kai) (Summers Realty).
