Patrick "Pudgie" Balbarino Obituary

Patrick “Pudgie” Balbarino, 71, of Koloa passed away on June 1, 2026 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was a retired Sergeant for the Kauai Police Department and worked as a security guard at various locations during his retired life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan & Melitona “Millie” Balbarino; birth parents, Chut Sojot and Mel McFadden; daughter, Kaylee-Tayler Balbarino; brothers, Larry Balbarino and Angel Sojot and sisters, Lorena (Ray) Aranio and Pamela.

Patrick is survived by his daughters, Kristel (Paco Espinosa Torres) Balbarino and Nicole Balbarino; grandchildren, Lillia, Baeley and Kai; brothers, Melvin (Theresa) Balbarino and Butchie Sojot; sister, Valerie Guevara; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration will be held on July 18, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will be from 8:00 to 9:30 AM with mass to follow.
