Paulina Rabasa Ibia, 77, of Hanamaulu passed away on May 27, 2020 at her home. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on June 22, 1942 and worked as a greeter for Walmart.
Paulina is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ibia Sr.; son, Thomas James Ibia; parents, Mamerto and Maria Agana Rabasa; sisters, Dorothy Fort and Catherine Delima; brothers, Juan Rabasa, Carlos Rabasa, and Pedro “Pete” Rabasa; and brother-in-law, Joseph Brun.
Paulina is survived by her sons, Henry (Doreen) Ibia Jr., Robert (Mindi) Ibia, and Darryl (Dayna) Ibia; daughter, Wanda (Abraham) Ibia; sister, Martina Brun; sister-in-law, Minako Rabasa; grandchildren, Hank Kawika, Schyler, Kaylin, Clifton, Preston, Raevyn-Simone, Kjandra-Sanoe, Kawika, Chelsie, Charisse, Chasa’re of Kauai, and Ashlyn of Reno, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Chysen “Koa,” Chestyn “Bob,” Chaysen “Kekai,” Kyhianna, Kyhiani, Kyhiarah, Kierstyn, Jayzelyn, Jordyn of Kauai, and Jai of Reno, Nevada; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Church with Mass celebrated t 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of her Life for the public will be held at a later date when social gatherings are allowed.
