Ray (Bull) Kūkunaokalā Katsumi Harada Sr., 75, of Wainiha passed away at Mahelona Hospital on August 31, 2022. He was born in Kilauea, Kauaʻi on August 14, 1947. Raised in Lūmahaʻi and loved living his life as a cowboy and a hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Genichi and Rose Harada; Allen “Akida” Genichi Harada, Alfred “Yoshi” Harada Sr.; granddaughter, Elizabeth "Chieko" Harada.
Ray”Bull” Harada Sr. is survived by his sister, Lily “Mieko” (Wilbert “Afuk”) Tai Hook; Mother of his children Bethan (Pua) Baptista; Children: Chanderrae Snyder; Ray ”Kuna” Harada Jr., Zion Harada, Alpha “Harue” Harada, and Kaʻohu Harada. Grandchildren: Chandlyn ”Harue” Harada, Chazlyn ”Mieko” Harada, Zen “Chikada” Harada-Sexton, Challen “Katsumi” Harada-Snyder, Zaaron “Akida” Harada-Snyder, Tyren-John “Satoru” Harada-Snyder, Juden-James “Teruo” Harada-Snyder; with numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 5-2950 Kuhio Hwy. at the Wilbert Tai Hook Estate (Kalihiwai). Visitation with the family will be from 10:30a.m. - 11am, services to follow.
