Obituary
Rodney Uwane Sonoda, 75, passed away on July 10, 2023. He was born on August 4, 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He later moved to Kauai and was the proprietor of Wai’ale’ale Discus.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Candy Sonoda; daughter, Trina (Brett) Sonoda-Soboleski; granddaughter, Tawni Sonoda, and many family and friends.
Rodney loved the beauty of Kauai and enjoyed hiking. He had many hobbies and activities including riding his motorcycle, horseback riding, fishing, and astronomy. He will be remembered for his kind compassionate nature and his positive outlook on life. Rodney will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends.
Private services will be held by the family.
