Ronald Vance Claybourn, 77, of Princeville passed away on June 14, 2025 in Lihue. He was born on April 17, 1948 in San Jose, CA. Ron lived a life of humility, kindness and compassion.
He was a computer engineer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and had previously worked on the Rainier, a hydrographic survey vessel for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration out of Seattle. He very much enjoyed the time spent surveying the coasts of Alaska, Hawaii and Southern California. He was a Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War era and was assigned to the Naval Air Station in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, WA.
He was preceded in passing by his parents Victor Noel Claybourn and Rose Marie Schiavo Claybourn.
Ron is survived by his wife Jacqueline Daigle, and sister Kathy Rhodes of Texas as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Ron grew up in a large, closely-knit Italian family who cherished his never-ending curiosity, love of fast cars, slow food and great music.
Services will take place in the Pacific Northwest and in Northern California later this year.
