Rosita Obongen Obituary
Rosita Ruguian Obongen, 77, of Kapaa passed away in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on January 22, 2019. She was born in Batac Ilocos Norte, Philippines on June 13, 1941 and retired from GN Wilcox Hospital as a Housekeeper.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bernabe Obongen; son, Bernard Obongen.
Rosita is survived by her partner, Pedro Sagucio; son, Romeo (Fe) Obongen of Fontana, California; daughters, Juliet Obongen of Kapaa, Nancy (Lars) Pedersen of Guildford, United Kingdom and May (Ryan) Castro of Long Beach, California; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Eugenia Lutrania of the Philippines and Lolita Lacaden of Lihue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 9am and Mass celebrated at 11am. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. The family requests wearing of aloha or other colorful attire.
