Rufina Luiz Obituary
Rufina Buted Luiz, of Lihue, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born in the Philippines on December 3, 1937 and worked in Housekeeping for Kauai Surf Hotel later purchased by Marriott.
Rufina is preceded in death by her husband, Florencio Luiz Sr.; Sons, Joseph Luiz and Danny Luiz; Parents, Mauro & Valentina Buted.
She is survived by son, Florencio Luiz Jr. of Kauai and daughter, Gloria Perez of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue. Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM, Mass at 10:00 then burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
