Ruth Wakayama Obituary
Ruth Sachiko Akama Wakayama, 95, of Wailua Houselots passed away on February 1, 2023. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on March 25, 1927 and retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Mitsuo Wakayama; parents, Paul and Umeyo Akama; brother, Paul Akama; sister, Helen Matsuura.
Ruth is survived by her son, Scot Wakayama; daughter, Laura Wakayama; grandsons, Tyson (Chanelle) Wakayama, Travis Wakayama; great-grandchildren, Makoa, Kamalei and Makena Wakayama; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 11:00 a.m. and services beginning at 11:30 a.m.
