Samuel Woodward Sr. Obituary

Samuel Kekoakaua Woodward Sr., 79 of Kilauea passed away on October 24, 2023. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 10, 1943 and retired from Security Services with Princeville Resort.

He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Kekoanawelu Sr., mother Edith Pohaku Ho’oikaika; brothers Stanley Kamaki, Dayne Saffery Ku’uipo and sister Heather Hokulani.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Rodney (Cathy) Woodward, Samuel (Bethany) Woodward Jr.; 4 daughters and 2 hanai daughters, Darnel Woodward, Sherry Woodward, Shanell (Brian) Gerardo, Sharon (Cody) Graham, Nora (Noe) Pahinui, Tobey (Lance) Gonsalves; siblings, Hayden (Jackie) Woodward; Llewelyn (Nadine) Woodward, Darriel Woodward, Celeste Castillo; 17 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Samuel’s life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Kauai Christian Fellowship North Shore with visitation from 10:00 a.m. and services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kilauea Japanese Cemetery.
