Stanley “Tad” Tadanori Kouchi, 87, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away peacefully on February 12,
2026.
He was born on July 26, 1938, in Pauwela, Maui, to Reverend Tadao Kouchi & Harumi Kouchi.
Stanley was known for his passion for life. He graduated from Waimea High School in 1956 and
served in the Army. He went on to a long career as a general superintendent for Hawaii Island
at Associated Steel.
Stanley was a passionate fisherman & hunter who loved spending 4me outdoors.
Stanley is survived by his 2 daughters, Jandi Johnson (Ken) & Krisie McInerny (Tim); 2
granddaughters, Kaile Martinez (Julian) and Charla Wolin (Tom); and 2 great grandsons, Ezra &
Arlo Martinez. He is also survived by his siblings Carol Kouchi Yotsuda, Alvin Masami Kouchi &
Ralph Shoji Kouchi and numerous nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by his
father Reverend Tadao Kouchi, mother Harumi Kouchi, brother Claude Kouchi, sister Elsie Teruya
& brother Norman Kouchi.
Services were held privately. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support
during this time.
