Obituary

Vincent “Slinko” G. Boiser Sr., 72, of Kapaa passed away on January 25, 2021 at home. He was born in Kapaia, Kauai, HI on April 16, 1948. He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War and retired as a custodian from the United States Postal Service Lihue Branch.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Theresa Boiser; son, Edward Kalani Bactad; sister, Marveline Relacion and Yvonne Kaialoa.

Slinko is survived by his sons, Vincent (Chelsea) G. Boiser Jr. and Albert (Mahina) Bactad; daughters, Chelsie (Michael) Canha, Cashie (Eric) Boiser and Ella (El) Ramelb; sister, Georgiana (Terry) Boiser-Nunes; brother, Gilbert Funes; grandchildren, Charles, Bradley, Cherrilynn and Samantha Coloma, Austin Pongasi, Trysten Bactad, Jadelynn Manzano, Mandee, Mia, Nanea, A.J., Maluhia, Halia, Kahiau, Keanu Bactad, Nakoa, Bryden and Qyrin Ibaan, Kana’i Bactad, Jaesha and Jonathon Canha, Vyka and Legend Boiser and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 27, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church, Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, mass to follow at 10:00 AM.
