Violet Nakao Obituary
Violet M. Nakao, 103, passed away on March 7, 2023. She was born in Waipahu on January 1, 1920, and retired as a secretary with County of Kauai Department of Water.
She is preceded in passing by her husband James Shigeo Nakao; son, Lloyd James Nakao; grandson, Russell-James Riley; and son-in-law, Richard James Riley.
Violet is survived by her daughters; Sandra Riley of Oregon and Donna Green of Kapaa; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, her sister; Nancy Tomasa of Kaneohe, daughter-in-law; Melvina Nakao, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Kapaa United Church of Christ on October 7, 2023, visitation starting at 10:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM.
