Yvonne Salas Soltren, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born on September 1, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, Yvonne carried her East Coast roots with her until she made her home on Kaua‘i in 1979. It was on the island that she built a beautiful life alongside her devoted husband of 52 years, Ramon Soltren. Together they raised their daughters, Lisa and Kalena, grounding their family in love, faith, laughter, and strength.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa Serrano, mother Victoria Del Valle, grandparents Raphael and Petra Del Valle and her brothers Ralph Del Valle, Gary Del Valle, and George Del Valle.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Soltren; her daughter Kalena (Kevin) Serraon; her sister Victoria (Hexy) Soltren; her sister Gilda Rodriguez; her brother Joe Del Valle; her brother-in-law Luis (Jocelyn) Soltren; her cherished granddaughters Shalea (Nick) Kam, Tara-Lei (Dillon) Yadao, and Sanoe Grijalva; and her treasured great-grandchildren Anela Yadao-Serraon, Aiden Catbagan-Texeira, Kieran Kam, Salem Kam, and Ezekiel Kane. She is also survived by her nieces Christina (Vernon) Basuel II, Aniase Soltren, Lehua Soltren, Kiele Soltren, nephews Victor (Samantha) Soltren, Phillip (Sharai) Soltren, Gavin Perez, Vernon Basuel lll, Maika Soltren, Hector Rodriguez Jr, and Luis (Bethany) Soltren Jr along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Yvonne was a warm and loving woman whose life centered around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her sense of humor, quick wit, and generous spirit brought light to every room she entered. She was known for her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering love for those around her.
A woman of deep faith, Yvonne loved the Lord and leaned on her faith through every season of life. Even in illness, she demonstrated grace, courage, and peace. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on in the generations she nurtured.
A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
